The School of Management and Economics Collaborates with the National Library Group on Joint Party Building Activities

On January 3, the Party Committee of the School of Management and Economics and the National Library Group Company embarked on joint Party building activities. Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean of the School, Peng Mingxue, along with Professor Gao Ang, Director of the Department of Organization and Human Resources Management, Professor Yi Jinchao, Director of the Case Study Center, Professor Sun Shiwei, a distinguished case author, and a delegation of eight people visited the International Bookstore (Garden Store), a subsidiary of the National Library Group. The visit focused on exchanges concerning empowering school-enterprise cooperation, talent cultivation, and joint Party building through outstanding case achievements. Yang Qi, the dedicated Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Library Group, and heads of relevant departments attended the discussion, which was chaired by Zhang Di, an architect of the import and export sector of the National Library Group and an alumnus of the School of Management and Economics.

Before the meeting, Tong Meng, the head of the International Bookstore, introduced the history of the National Library Group. He recounted the bookstore's establishment on December 1, 1949, using a name inscribed by Mr. Guo Moruo as a reference, detailing the diligent efforts of generations of bookstore and international communication personnel. Under their hard work, the International Bookstore has grown into a large comprehensive institution incorporating cultural trade, paper operations, park construction, e-commerce, and warehousing logistics — China International Book Trading Corporation.

Following the discussion, both parties signed a school-enterprise Party building cooperation agreement, formally commencing a new chapter of collaboration. In the future, regular activities such as joint learning and theme Party days will be conducted to foster mutual progress. Both sides will explore new avenues for business development led by Party building through measures like appointing corporate mentors, establishing internship and practice bases, and conducting advanced training.
