On January 19, 2024, as the Spring Festival approached, the School of Management and Economics at Beijing Institute of Technology held a New Year gathering for retired teachers in lecture hall 240 of the main building. The gathering was attended by Dean Wang Zhaohua, Party Secretary Yan Zhijun, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean Peng Mingxue, Vice Dean Zhao Xian, and retired teachers of the school, with Vice Dean Guan Hong hosting the meeting.
Dean Wang Zhaohua warmly welcomed the retired teachers and extended New Year greetings. He shared the school's achievements in talent cultivation, discipline construction, international accreditation, and scientific research in 2023 and invited the retired teachers to actively participate in the school's development and offer their suggestions.
Party Secretary Yan Zhijun extended New Year greetings to the retired teachers, thanking them for laying a solid foundation for the school's development and their long-term care, support, and assistance. He wished the teachers good health, family happiness, and joy in the Year of the Dragon.
During the gathering, the retired teachers shared memories of their educational careers, expressing their ongoing concern for the school's development and their desire to contribute to its future construction. Various retired faculty members, including former department heads and deans, expressed gratitude for the care provided by the school leadership and shared their health philosophies, memories of the school's development, and wishes for the school's future success.
