The 17th Programming Contest of Beijing Institute of Technology is held simultaneously in six competition venues on the Liangxiang Campus on Nov 26.

On Nov 26, the 17th Programming Contest of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) was held simultaneously in six competition venues on the Liangxiang Campus.  

During the opening ceremony, Liu Yuan, secretary of BIT's Youth League Committee expressed hope that all participating students can use this competition as an opportunity to strengthen their practical skills, and can actively utilize platform resources to contribute to the development of our country's information technology innovation industry.

Xi Yinglun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy dean of the School of Computer Science of BIT, said that as a typical representative of the school's traditional scientific and technological competition, the contest attracts a large number of programming enthusiasts every year, adding that he wishes everyone a fulfilling and enriching experience during the competition.

Li Jiazheng, a representative of the participating students delivered a speech, expressed wishes that all the contestants demonstrate their abilities and achieve ideal results.

Xu Qiuhua, director of the Comprehensive Office of the School of Information Technology Innovation, mentioned that the competition ultimately reflects the competition of talents in core technology, and hoped that all participants would remain calm during the competition and achieve good results.

After the five-hour competition, six first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes, one "best female team award", one "best team courage award", 11 "first blood awards" (for the fastest problem solved), and 30 "excellence awards" were selected out of more than 300 participants.

The event was hosted by the Youth League Committee, the Academic Affairs Office, and the Network Information Technology Center of BIT, and organized by the School of Computer Science and the School of Information Technology Innovation, with sponsorship from Chinasoft International Co and Beijing LSSEC Tech Co.
